Spiritual TransformationLiving in a busy world, we often feel pulled in so many directions. Sometimes, spending quality time with God gets pushed aside for what feels like an urgent matter. |
A poemI knelt to pray but not for long, I had too much to do
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer
And jumped up off my knees.
My christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease
All day long I had no time
To spread the word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much too do was my constant cry
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die
I went before the Lord, I came,
I stood with downcast eyes
For in his hands,God held a book;
It was the book of life
God looked into his book and said .
"Your name I cannot find"
I was once going to write it down
But never found the time! |
Step 1:Confess Your SInFirstly before we begin on the path that leads us to Spiritual Transformation we need to confess our sins to God. John 3:16 says, " God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever believes in himshould have eternal life."
By confessing our sins to God, we acknowledge that Christ came into this world so that we can be saved. By accepting Christ as our Lord and Saviour of your life, you begin to start the journey to Spirirual Transformation.
Psalms 32:1 says, "Happy are those whose sins are forgiven, whose wrongs are pardoned. Happy is the one whom the Lord does not accuse of doing wrong and is free from all sin." |
Step 2: Santified by the Holy Spirit1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 says, " May the God who gives us peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being- spirit, soul and body free from every fault at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ."
Our bodies are the temple of God and for us to walk on the path of Spiritual Transformation we need to santify our temples (bodies), because cannot dwell in a place which is unholy and unclean. Ny santifying ourselves, we allow the spirit of God to come and dwell in our hearts.
1 Corinthians 6:11 says,"You have been purified from sin, you have been dedicated to God, you have been put right with God by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God." |
Step 3: Baptized by the Holy SpiritPhilipians 3:21 says, "He will vhange our weak mortal bodies and make them like his own glorious body, using that power by which he is able to bring all things under his rule.
By being baptized with the Holy Spirit we truely begin to start our way to Spiritual Transformation. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says," All of us, then reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces and the same glory, coming from the Lord who is spirit, transforms us into his likeness inthe ever greater degree of glory." |
Step 4:Cleansing of our MindsRomans 12:2 says, "Do not conform youselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by complete change of your minds."
Our minds is a constant battlefield which we fight daily, our thoughts can sometimes draw us closer to God, or it can seperate us from him. Our mindset is the most powerful weapon to Spiritual Transformation, by cleansing and renewing our minds daily we allow God to fill our minds with things that are pure and holy. |
Step 5: Love the Lord your GodLove the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and souls Mark 12:30-31.
God is love and everything that is born of him is love, by meditating upon this word daily we develop a relationship with God and we begin to learn and Love him.
Now you are on your way to a complete Spiritual Transformation. |
PrayerLord,
